Digital Tuner

How can I tell if my TV has a digital tuner in it?
New TV’s have digital tuners and don’t need that “converter box” to pick up over the air digital signals. How do I know if my TV has a digital tuner in it or not?
What is the cheapest TV you can buy that has a digital tuner in it?
The most accurate way is to look at the owners manual or Google the model number. What you are looking for is if the set has an “ATSC Tuner”. If you purchased the set in the last two or three years, it most probably does. If your set has an ATSC turner built in, you will not need a converter box.
Your set may also have a QAM tuner. QAM is the standard for digital cable.
I hope this helps. Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.
