Do the epiphone Les Paul standards have flat tops or do they have arched top???
I’m talking about both the plain top and the plus top. Is the top just flat or does it rise up like the higher end gibsons?
They both have carved “caps”
The difference in the guitars, is that the Gibsons are hand made in the USA,
use better quality wood, that is cured better and longer,
The American ones also use better Pickups and electronics.
the best Epis are the ones made in Japan,
most of them use American electronics, from Gibson.
The next, are the Korean ones, good value for the money,
the cheapies made in China I don’t care for,
Poor grades of wood, etc.
The older LP Specials used to have a flat, non carved top, no maple cap,
but now i have seen some of the Epis LP Specials use carved tops.
I think that the Gibson LP Specials still use the flat top, but since Gibson skips all over the place now, I wouldn’t guarantee it.
