Leather Banjo

Help with a Guitar strap?
I recently purchased a strap for my banjo and wanted to know if there were any metal clips I could buy that could attach to my banjo. I bought this strap and you and instead of clips it came with strings, the strings don’t seem to be very secure…

thats the link to the strap i bought, any suggestions?
On “cradle” straps of this type that I’ve seen, you’re supposed to run the thin part of the straps behind the bracket hooks on the lower side (in normal playing position) and lace or tie the ends together with the thong. It’s actually very secure, but it may not be possible to use this kind of strap if your banjo has a flange and resonator that cover the brackets.
A strap clipped to a couple of bracket hooks is very insecure, because the weight of the banjo may deform or tear loose those hooks.
A banjo strap is NEVER fastened to the headstock of a banjo as in the link provided by the other contributor. The pot is too heavy and the neck is too thin, so it would balance really funny and you would risk damaging the neck.
