How do I clean my Jostens class ring?
My class ring is two years old. 10k white gold with an antique finish on the sides. I want to clean it, but i’m afraid if I do the black stuff on the sides will wash off. Any advice will be appreciated.
You can buy premixed jewelry cleaner at most grocery or department/discount stores. These will not harm the finish or the ‘black stuff.’
Or you can use an old soft toothbrush and toothpaste. Use a tiny dot of toothpaste and work it into the brush first, then apply to the ring. Scrub in tiny circles, then rinse well while still brushing to make sure you get all the paste off.
(Make sure you put the stopper in the sink before you start cleaning the ring in case you accidentally drop the ring.)
