Old Violins

how can i secure the loose tuning pegs on my old violin?
i’ve been given an old violin (last serviced in ’87) that seems to be in pretty good condition, but when i tune it it pretty quickly untunes itself. i think it’s because the tuning pegs aren’t tight enough; what can i do?
take the peggs out and get a hb pencil and coulour the bottom ov the peggs hard in untill it is coverd and the hb givs the grip and it works spot on
